Family element added to Inksters' "This is your Trial"

28th July 2017

The Inksters Solicitors-sponsored show This is Your Trial is running for the fifth successive year at the Edinburgh Fringe – with the addition this time of an extra, family friendly, show at 12 noon each day from 31 July, so that children can join in the courtroom fun.

Top comedians will play the roles of lawyers, prosecuting and defending cases brought by non-adults against their parents, siblings and friends. The audience is the jury, deciding the verdict in the mock trials. There will also be a "draw a judge" competition with participating children having a chance to win prizes from Inksters.

The adult show returns at 7.15pm each evening from 2 August. Last year saw the likes of Clive Anderson, Susan Calman, Andrew Maxwell, Marcus Brigstocke and Josie Long make guest appearances alongside regulars Thom Tuck, Tim Fitzhigham and Trevor Lock. The lineup changes for every show.

Brian Inkster of Inksters commented: “Every year This is Your Trial gets bigger and better and we are very pleased to be supporting them again this year as they give children an insight into courtroom procedure, albeit with a comic slant!”

The family friendly show (PG) takes place at Heroes @ Monkey Barrel (Venue 515), and the adult show at Gilded Balloon Teviot - Wine Bar (Venue 14).
