Family law consultant Fotheringham moves to Shoosmiths

UK law firm Shoosmiths has added to its family law team in its Edinburgh office with the appointment of John Fotheringham as a consultant.

Mr Fotheringham, previously a consultant with bto, brings more than 30 years’ experience of advising individuals on all aspects of family law. He is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in both child and family law, and is vice convener of the Society's Family Law Committee. He has a particular interest in child support law, and is part of the child support committee of the Resolution organisation. he also lectures and tutors at Edinburgh University and has written or contributed to a number of articles and books.

Marika Franceschi, Edinburgh family partner at Shoosmiths, commented: "The skills John has honed over his lengthy career complement our family offering.
