Five new partners among McClure Naismith promotions

8th January 2015 | careers

Commercial law firm McClure Naismith has appointed five new partners and one new associate in a round of promotions announced today.

The new partners are Colin Brown and Robert Binning (real estate, Edinburgh); E-Ming Fong and Suzanne McGarrigle (dispute resolution, Edinburgh); and Nils Reid (commercial and financial services, London). Lewis Kemp (dispute resolution, Edinburgh) is promoted to associate.

Colin Brown and Robert Binning specialise in real estate investment and management, cross border real estate transactions and property finance, and Mr Brown also has significant experience in agricultural acquisitions and disposals. E-Ming Fong is a commercial litigator widely regarded for her expertise in resolving contractual disputes; Suzanne McGarrigle is experienced in all areas of dispute resolution associated with personal injury, in particular employer liability and industrial disease claims. Nils Reid advises corporate clients on a range of corporate finance issues including equity and debt capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and acts for a number of entrepreneurial, growing companies; and Lewis Kemp advises on liability insurance and commercial dispute resolution.

Congratulating the new apppointees, executive chairman Robin Shannan commented: “These new appointments are a great start to 2015. As chairman, I was very keen we properly recognised the talented individuals who work for us. We adopted a policy of assisting individuals to progress within the business and I am delighted that this policy is proving very successful."
