Five partner promotions at Shepherd & Wedderburn
Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP has promoted five solicitors to partner, across the firm’s Edinburgh, Glasgow and London offices.
The newly-assumed partners are Elaine Hunter (property and infrastructure, Glasgow); Lauren McLeod (property and infrastructure, London); Tom Swan (corporate, Edinburgh); Stuart Greenwood (rural property and business, Edinburgh); and Ben Pilbrow (commercial disputes and regulation, London). The promotions bring the total number of partners at the firm to 78.
Lauren McLeod and Tom Swan began their professional careers as trainees at Shepherd & Wedderburn, and Stuart Greenwood was a trainee at Tods Murray, which was acquired by Shepherd & Wedderburn in 2014. Ben Pilbrow joined the firm's City office in 2012, while Elaine Hunter was a director at Tods Murray prior to the 2014 acquisition.
Chief executive Stephen Gibb commented: “These promotions recognise the specialist expertise and leadership skills of our new partners, their deep understanding of the sectors in which they and their clients operate and their willingness to go the extra mile for clients.
“I am particularly pleased that three of our new partners were trainees at this firm or Tods Murray, which reflects our long-term commitment to fostering talent in the business. I would like to congratulate Elaine, Lauren, Tom, Stuart and Ben and wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their career at Shepherd & Wedderburn.”
