Four join MacRoberts as firm rebrands with new website
Legal firm MacRoberts has announced four new appointments as it continues its recent expansion, along with a new branding and website.
There are three solcitor appointments: Fiona Sharp, formerly with McClure Naismith, joins as a senior associate in family law, based in Glasgow; Stephanie Baynham, recruited from Burness Paull, becomes a senior solicitor in banking and finance, based in Edinburgh; and newly qualified Alasdair Irvine joins as a solicitor in the growing corporate defence team in Glasgow having completed his traineeship with the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service.
In addition Laura Wilson, who joins from Harper Macleod, becomes MacRoberts’ first procurement director, with responsibility to oversee all tenders and bids.
Recently MacRoberts secured two places on the Scottish Government's legal panel framework, covering corporate and commercial contracts and major projects.
The new website, www.macroberts.com, has been designed and developed by Edinburgh company Stance, as part of a corporate re-branding which focuses on a proposition around being "straight talking" and giving clients sound, practical advice.
Managing partner John Macmillan said: “As our latest arrivals demonstrate, we are bucking the trend in the legal profession by continuing to see significant growth in both our staff numbers and our business.
“The new website and rebranding also show that we are an ambitious and forward thinking firm with plans to grow even further in future.”
