Further events added to SYLA programme for coming weeks
The Scottish Young Lawyers' Association has announced new events in three of its regular series introducing younger lawyers to aspects of professional life.
"Spotlight on... Cybersecurity", on Wednesday 25 October in Edinburgh, features current hot legal topics impacting the cybersecurity sector, with speakers including Vassilis (Basil) Manoussos of Edinburgh Napier University and Gerard Grant of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre. "So you want to be… a Renewables Lawyer!" is the following evening, Thursday 26 October in Glasgow. Three solicitors from Brodies will discuss their career paths to date and their interest in the renewables sector from a projects, property and planning perspective. Click here for further details.
A week later, "Beyond the Basics: Arbitration, at home and abroad", takes place on Thursday 2 November in Edinburgh. Brandon Nolan, partner at Pinsent Masons, and Ryan Whelan, associate at Gibson Dunn, will provide an insight into how arbitration operates at home and abroad. Click here for further details.
