Further growth reported in Digby Brown's latest figures
Digby Brown have reported their financial results for the year ending March 2016. Revenues were £27.3m, up from £24.6m in the previous year, a 10.9% increase. Profit for the firm was £8.6m, compared to £7.8m in the previous year.
2016 has been another year in which the firm has recovered a record level of damages for its clients and one which has seen the firm continue to be recognised as a leader by both the legal sector and the wider Scottish business community.
Highlights in 2016 across Digby Brown have included:
Being named Law Firm of the Year at the Law Awards of Scotland. The firm were also named Corporate Social Responsibility Firm of the Year.
Becoming the first law firm in the UK to achieve Platinum Accreditation from Investors in People.
A number of important promotions, including Euan Love, Stuart Barton and Lianda Barnes being assumed as Partners.
Continuing to be top ranked and recognised as market leaders for personal injury and clinical negligence practice in Scotland by the independent Chambers and Legal 500 guides to the UK legal profession.
Another record year on behalf of the firm’s clients – recovering more than £105m in damages awards on behalf of clients across Scotland.
Winning important court decisions on behalf of Digby Brown clients in the UK Supreme Court (Tracey Kennedy v Cordia (Services) Ltd) and Court of Session (Roger Harris v The Advocate General for Scotland and Brenda Gray & Ors v The Advocate General for Scotland).
Digby Brown’s personal injury practice is split into specialist areas which deal with clients’ claims based on the nature of accident, type of injury or whether the client was injured while living and working in Scotland or abroad.
