Gillespie Macandrew confirm Glasgow office opening

Legal firm Gillespie Macandrew's new Glasgow office will open next Monday, 30 March, the firm confirmed today.

Initially the office, at 69 Buchanan Street, will have two staff based there, with hot desk facilities available for others visiting from its Edinburgh or Perth offices. The firm expects to further develop its presence in the area over the coming months and beyond.

Gillespie Macandrew has also announced unaudited fee income of £9.9m for the 2014-15 financial year, up just over 3% from the previous year.

Managing partner Ian Turnbull commented: “We’ve had a particularly strong fourth quarter in both feeing and cash recovery, building on the preceding quarters, and we have also experienced a number of significant client wins in the second half of the year. This means we are in a very sound cash position at the outset of the new financial year, during which we will complete repayment of all term funding by November 2015. We are now looking towards a significant period of growth and our new initial office in Glasgow is just the first step in this plan.”
