Gilson Gray taps Brodies for new finance director
Legal firm Gilson Gray has a new finance director, after looking for talent at rivals Brodies.
Australian Peter Coghlan (43), who now has 16 years’ experience in the Scottish legal world, will work with senior management to mould the firm’s future finances.
Mr Coghlan worked in Sydney for nine years and qualified as a chartered accountant before coming to Scotland.
Glen Gilson, managing partner of Gilson Gray, which he co-founded in 2014, commented: “From the very outset we have been committed to cherry-picking talented people to come and join our team and this has led to people like Peter leaving other law firms in order to join us.
“He brings with him a wealth of experience and we’re all excited to utilise his new ideas and thinking to further develop the firm.
“We’ve forged a reputation as a full service firm which provides a personal touch to clients and we’re always keen to speak to the brightest and best talent from across the country.”
