Harvard professor is Society's latest conference speaker

20th June 2018 | law society of scotland

A Harvard law professor is the latest guest speaker announced for this year's Law Society of Scotland annual conference.

Dr Heidi K Gardner, bestselling author and former faculty member at Harvard Business School, will deliver a keynote address exploring how bringing down barriers and working across boundaries can help businesses gain a competitive edge and earn higher margins, inspire greater client loyalty and attract and retain the best talent.

Her research focuses on leadership and collaboration in professional service firms. Her book Smart Collaboration: How Professionals and Their Firms Succeed by Breaking Down Silos, was published by Harvard Business Press last year.

Other keynote speakers for the conference, on Friday 26 October, include Baroness Hale of Richmond, President of the UK Supreme Court, who will consider the contribution of Scottish cases to developing UK law.

The full programme for the event, at the EICC, Edinburgh, will be published in the coming weeks.

Click here for further information and bookings. There is currently an early bird discount of 20%. Everyone with an interest in law and business is welcome to attend.
