Human Rights Tour comes to Aberdeen
A UK "Human Rights Tour" comes to Scotland tomorrow, 8 March, with an awareness-raising event in Aberdeen.
The British Human Rights Institute, in partnership with The HR Consortium Scotland, is holding a "pop-up event" which aims to raise awareness about human rights and their relevance in everyday life, and provide a space for debate and discussion.
It will provide a basic introduction to the law that protects human rights in the UK, exploring the relevance of the Human Rights Act to everyday life, with an opportunity to engage in some of the important debates going on about the future of human rights law.
Using a combination of presentations, interactive sessions, discussions and creative activities, the full day free event provides space to look at the law, everyday practice and the portrayals of human rights.
