Judicial Appointments Board lay member given further term
Justice Secretary Michael Matheson has reappointed Alison Mitchell as a lay member of the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.
Ms Mitchell has worked in human resources at senior and board level for over 20 years has extensive management consultancy experience, including strategy planning, change management and executive coaching. She is an ACAS arbitrator and a member of the ACAS Central Arbitration Panel. Among other posts she is a former director of human resources of the Scottish Prison Service.
Her reappointment will be for four years from 1 August 2017 to 31 July 2021. It requires a time commitment of around 40 days per year.
