Keith Oliver joins Morton Fraser as private client consultant
Legal firm Morton Fraser has appointed Keith Oliver as a consultant to its Private Client team.
Mr Oliver, until now with Addleshaw Goddard, makes his move in the wake of Addleshaw Goddard moving out of private client work. Partners Gregor Mitchell and Douglas Hunter have already joined Morton Fraser’s now 54 strong Private Client team.
However, in addition to his new role, he will continue working as a consultant with Addleshaw Goddard supporting his clients on their business and commercial work.
He also currently chairs the disciplinary board at the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries, and serves as honorary legal adviser of The Royal Scots Benevolent Fund, clerk to the governors at Fettes College and chairman of Cricket Development Scotland Trust. He was awarded the OBE for his services to cricket.
Sue Hunter, partner and head of Morton Fraser’s Private Client Division, commented: "Keith’s appointment is a major coup for the firm and for the team. He is a highly regarded individual within the Scottish legal world and is known for building excellent relationships with his clients.
"With the recent addition of two new partners to the team, Keith’s consultancy role will really help to cement existing client relationships as well as establish new ones coming to the firm for the first time."
