Lisa Gregory becomes Society of Advocates in Aberdeen President

22nd December 2016 | careers

Digby Brown partner Lisa Gregory has been appointed as President of the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen.

Ms Brown, head of Digby Brown’s Aberdeen office, has worked in Aberdeen specialising in personal injury law for more than 20 years and is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in personal injury law and by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers as a senior litigator.

The Society of Advocates in Aberdeen has a diverse membership including sheriffs, academics, commercial, court, corporate, trust, executry, property, family, tax, international and local authority lawyers and in-house company lawyers. It represents the interests of the Aberdeen legal profession to legal regulators, Government and other bodies and also provides networking opportunities and a busy calendar of social events.

“It is an honour to be taking on the role of President of the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen", Ms Brown commented. "I am really looking forward to working alongside the rest of my management committee during 2017.

“This is both an exciting and challenging time for the legal profession in Aberdeen and across Scotland. The Society of Advocates has an important role to play in helping lawyers in different fields develop, encouraging new people and talent into the sector and making sure our voice is heard during the various debates that are going on around the future shape of the legal sector.”
