MacQueen has Scottish Law Commission appointment extended
Professor Hector MacQueen has had his appointment as a Commissioner of the Scottish Law Commission extended, as the Commission moves towards completion of its work on the law of contract.
Professor MacQueen, of Edinburgh University, was first appointed as a full time commissioner in September 2009, and his current term runs until 28 September 2017. His extension, on a part time basis, will run from then until 27 March 2018.
He is leading the Commission’s current project on contract law, his principal research interest, which is now in its final phase with the publication earlier this month of a discussion paper on remedies for breach of contract (click here for report).Â
