MacRoberts becomes corporate partner with ENABLE Scotland
Legal firm MacRoberts LLP has entered a new corporate partnership deal with ENABLE Scotland, the learning disability charity.
Beginning with the Glasgow Kiltwalk a month ago, MacRoberts partners and employees will support ENABLE Scotland in a variety of ways, including fundraising efforts, sponsoring its Annual Ball in February 2018, sharing the firm's skills and expertise, and volunteering at key fundraising events.
The charity was a key beneficiary of this year's Glasgow Kiltwalk, at which 280 walkers, including the MacRoberts team, between them raised £28,000 for its funds, with some money still coming in. MacRoberts will also be taking part in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk in June, the Dundee Kiltwalk in August and the Edinburgh Kiltwalk in September. All money raised will be supplemented by an additional 10%, donated by Sir Tom Hunter and his charitable foundation.
Partner Katy Wedderburn commented: “MacRoberts is delighted to support ENABLE Scotland in this exciting and challenging event. The work ENABLE Scotland does to fight discrimination and inequality is truly inspirational and we wholeheartedly support their vision of an equal society for every person who has a learning disability.”
ENABLE Scotland CEO Theresa Shearer responded: “We are delighted that MacRoberts has chosen to support ENABLE Scotland as a corporate partner. They have actively supported our charity fundraising activities for a number of years and have recently become more active as a corporate sponsor of our Annual Ball. Through generating fundraising income from events like the Kiltwalk in partnership with companies like MacRoberts, ENABLE Scotland can support more families throughout Scotland.”
