MacRoberts promotes two to partner
Legal firm MacRoberts has announced two internal promotions to its partnership, in its Real Estate and Projects divisions.
David McGuire, who has been with MacRoberts for 16 years, moves up from legal director in the Real Estate group. He has considerable experience in commercial property, with a particular focus on renewable energy developments as well as a great deal of experience in hotel and commercial developments.
Robin Fallas has been with the firm for 10 years and was a senior associate in the Projects Group. He specialises in advising on public and third sector matters and is recognised in Chambers UK and Legal 500 for his expertise in charities and procurement law. He is a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Charity Law Subcommittee.
The moves come on the same day that new managing partner Neil Kennedy officially takes over from John Macmillan, who returns to his role as a partner in the firm’s Employment team.
Mr Kennedy commented: “I am delighted to welcome David and Robin to the partnership. They have both shown great commitment to the firm over the years and both positions are richly deserved. I look forward to working closely with them in my new capacity as managing partner, as we focus on growing our Real Estate and Projects divisions.
MacRoberts now has 43 partners and over 160 staff across its offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee.
