MacRoberts' revenue up following Yuill & Kyle acquisition
Legal firm MacRoberts saw a 3% rise in turnover to £18m in the year to 30 April 2018, the Herald reports today.
Part of the £552,000 increase was due to the acquisition of debt recovery specialist practice Yuill & Kyle. Profit also rose, by 6% to £5.3m, though here the additional business made a negative impact. Profit per partner rose from £116,000 to £129,000.
MacRoberts' figures have fluctuated in recent years, with the 2017-18 results showing some recovery from a significant dip the previous year. Two years ago the firm reported turnover of £19.78m and profit of £6.9m.
Appointed to the new role of chairman last week, Euan Duncan stated the firm's "strategic vision for growth in the next few years", as it took forward a three year plan.
