Millar & Bryce makes senior consultant hire
Land and property search firm Millar & Bryce has appointed John King as principal consultant.
Mr King brings more than 30 years of legal, policy and practical experience across all aspects of land and property registration in Scotland, from his career at Registers of Scotland.
He has been instrumental in a number of major policy changes, including the implementation of the Land Registration (Scotland) Act 2012 and the launch of the Development Plan Approval service. In his new role, he will provide counsel and strategic guidance across all aspects of the business, including the resolution of complex title issues through to extension of the company’s current core capabilities to support larger scale voluntary registration projects. He will also be central to the delivery of the company’s CPD programme of activities.
Managing director Richard Hepburn commented: "John is held in very high regard by many senior solicitors involved in Scottish land and property affairs, so it is fantastic to be able to welcome someone with his deep knowledge and strong reputation into our business. We’re very keen to continue to expand our support for clients involved in challenging land registration work, so to have John on board greatly enhances our capabilities in this area."
