Morisons take on McClures dispute team

14th September 2015 | careers

Glasgow and Edinburgh legal firm Morisons has appointed a five-strong dispute team, formerly with McClure Naismith which went into administration at the end of August.

Partner Ewen Brown joins as head of disputes, along with associates Alan McCormack, Carol Boyd and David Forrester, and recently qualified assistant David McAlpine. The team bring considerable experience in the commercial and property litigation sector. David Forrester will work closely with Morisons’ asset recovery team representing secured lenders.

Peter Duff, managing partner at Morisons, commented: “Ewen and his team bring a dynamic depth of calibre and a well-earned reputation within the industry and we are pleased to have attracted them to the firm. McClure Naismith were renowned in this field and it’s terrific to have them join us at this exciting time in our growth.”

The five will operate from both Morisons' offices with immediate effect.

Morisons now has 19 partners and around 100 staff.
