Morton Fraser hires agricultural specialist partner
Legal firm Morton Fraser has appointed agricultural lawyer Linsey Barclay-Smith as a partner in its Agricultural & Rural Property team.
Ms Barclay-Smith, who has over 20 years of experience in agricultural and rural property law at firms including Turcan Connell and most recently Thorntons Law, is an accredited specialist in agricultural law.
Joining partner James Rust, also an accredited specialist, she will focus on growing the present team of five, which covers traditional transaction based work with all classes of rural property as well as non-traditional activities, including renewable energy developments.
Mr Rust commented: “Linsey brings talent and expertise to the table, with a demonstrated ability to pursue growth.
“While our work includes traditional transactions, we’re seeing a growing need for non-traditional activities as a result of diversification, and Linsey’s reputation in our sector precedes her.”
