Motor Insurers' Bureau revises claim form for GDPR compliance
Solicitors submitting claims to the Motor Insurers' Bureau have been asked to note that a revised claim form is now in use following the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into effect.
The MIB acts where people are involved in a road accident in which the driver said to be at fault turns out to be uninsured or cannot be traced.
The new form, containing a revised form of declaration, is now on the MIB website. If old forms are received, they will be returned with a document containing the revised wording for signature, though claimants will not have to complete a whole new form.
