New appointments at Davidson Chalmers

Edinburgh-based commercial law firm Davidson Chalmers has announced the appointment of Alan Strain as partner to lead its employment team.

Alan Strain, currently a partner and Head of Employment with Mullins, in Brisbane, Australia joins the firm today. Strain was previously an employment partner and head of litigation at Biggart Baillie, and latterly headed the Employment team at DLA Piper Scotland. He also served as an employment judge with the Employment Tribunal Service in Scotland until January 2014.

Jenny Davies joined the firm on 1 August as a senior solicitor in the Environmental, Waste and Renewables department. Davies, currently with West Lothian Council, has a wide range of expertise and experience in dealing with property related issues both in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the council, Davies worked with Burges Salmon in Bristol and Burness Paull in Edinburgh.
