Nine advance in Thorntons promotions round

Legal firm Thorntons has announced nine internal promotions, with six senior solicitors advancing to associates and three solicitors becoming senior solicitors.

The six new associates are Robin Beattie from the family and dispute resolution team in Arbroath; Mike Kemp in personal injury and Kim McNaughton of the corporate team, both in Dundee; and Caroline Pigott in intellectual property, Stephanie Watson from personal injury and Nicola Weir of the immigration team, all in Edinburgh.

Promoted to senior solicitor are Stephanie Gallacher from the employment team and Lisa Mannion from the legal property team, both in Dundee, and Aimee Gibbons of commercial property in Edinburgh.
