O'Neill re-elected as Brodies chair
Christine O’Neill has been re-elected to serve a third consecutive term as chairman of Brodies, the biggest legal practice headquartered in Scotland.
Partners voted unanimously for Ms O'Neill, who was first elected chairman in 2013, to continue for a further three years, to run from 1 May 2019.
Regarded as a leading litigation and public law lawyers, in the last 12 months Ms O'Neill she has acted as adviser on constitutional law matters to the Scottish Parliament’s Finance & Constitution Committee, and in her role as First Standing Junior to the Scottish Government, she was part of the Lord Advocate’s legal team in the Supreme Court hearing in July 2018 on the lawfulness of the Scottish Parliament’s Brexit legislation.
