Partner and associate hires at Gillespie Macandrew
Legal firm Gillespie Macandrew has announced two senior appointments today.
Fraser Leslie joins the Edinburgh office as partner in the energy practice from Bond Dickinson in Aberdeen. He acts for landowners and developers in relation to onshore renewables projects, and has particular expertise in drafting option agreements, leases and related land issues and property matters. He also has experience in the oil sector on a proposed decommissioning project.
Peter Drummond, formerly with McClure Naismith, becomes a housebuilder associate working from the Glasgow office. Experienced in major title research, he has acted for blue-chip commercial clients in connection with site sale and acquisition, contract negotiation and litigation.
Gillespie Macandrew chief executive Chris West commented: “We are a growing law firm with development opportunities and are actively recruiting for a number of roles. It is important to us that we continue to attract senior legal figures with the experience and knowledge that Fraser and Peter possess. They arrive at a time when the firm is building its breadth and depth of expertise both from within our existing teams and from outwith and they will help to inspire and develop others within the firm as much as reinforce the message to our clients that we have the ability to deal with matters from all perspectives.
“The energy and housebuilder sectors are important to Gillespie Macandrew and we will continue to increase the size of these and other teams to meet the needs of our growing client base.”
