Private client partner hire for MMS

Legal firm Maclay Murray & Spens LLP (MMS) has added to its Private Client & Charities department with the appointment of Alexis Graham as a partner, based in the firm's Glasgow office.

Formerly an associate at MMS, Ms Graham left just six months ago for an associate position with Turcan Connell. She has significant experience working with clients in the third sector, as well as advising private clients on wills disputes, tax planning and asset protection.

She joins the 30-strong department's senior management team, headed by Andrew Biggart. MMS expects to announce further appointments before the end of this year.

Mr Biggart commented: “Alexis is a formidable lawyer who previously spent some seven years in the MMS team. It is great to welcome her back and her expertise will be of significant benefit to our clients. The team is expanding and Alexis' appointment is an important step in this process."
