Promotions round announced at Thorntons

Tayside-based legal firm Thorntons has announced a round of promotions, naming a new associate and eight senior solicitors, as three trainees also complete their solicitor qualification.

Debbie Dewar, previously a senior solicitor, has been appointed an associate in the firm’s land and rural business team, based in the Perth office.

The eight new senior solicitors are Robin Beattie, Lauren Rae, Cheryl Wallace, Lindsay Bryce, Robert Barr, Kim McNaughton, Caroline Pigott and Gemma McClelland, have been promoted to senior solicitor. Their practice areas cover employment, conveyancing, agriculture, intellectual property, private client and personal injury law.

Aimee Gibbons, Lisa Mannion and Lynsay McFarlane have qualified as solicitors following their two-year traineeship.
