QC confirmed for further term on Judicial Appointments Board
James McNeill QC has been reapppointed as a legal member of the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.
Michael Matheson, Cabinet Secretary for Justice, confirmed that Mr McNeill will serve a further two years, until 16 September 2018.
Mr McNeill, who has 10 years’ judicial experience as a part time Court of Appeal judge in Jersey and Guernsey, also chairs the Disciplinary Appointments Committee of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. He does not hold any other public appointments.
His reappointment attracts a remuneration of £290 per day for a time commitment of around 40 days per annum.
