Raeburn Christie acquires Connons of Stonehaven
Aberdeen and north east legal firm Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCCW) has increased its Stonehaven presence through the acquisition of local practice Connons.
Connons' principal Gordon Ritchie is retiring and associate Scott Rennie will join RCCW's Stonehaven branch led by partner Naomi Mearns. The transfer completes on 30 May this year with the merged parctice being based in the existing RCCW office in Market Buildings, Stonehaven.
Founded in 1905 by James B Connon, Connons' practice consists of residential and commercial property, and wills, trusts, and executry work. RCCW has grown to become one of the largest full service legal firms in the north east, with a staff of more than 150 and branches in Stonehaven, Banchory, Ellon and Inverurie as well as its Aberdeen headquarters.
Managing partner Keith Allan commented: “We are one of the oldest established firms serving Aberdeen and the north east area. Our commitment to growth in the local area is evident by the recent acquisitions of Winchesters in Ellon and now Connons in Stonehaven, which link with our overarching strategy.”
Mr Ritchie added: “I am delighted about the transfer of my business as I have great faith in my colleagues at RCCW. We have the same local focus and strong values and I know that our long established clients will be provided with the same high quality services they have come to expect from us.”
