Real estate partner hire for DWF
National legal practice DWF has appointed Moray Thomson as a real estate partner in its planning team in Glasgow.
Mr Thomson joins from MacRoberts, where he was head of planning. He has extensive experience in planning, environmental and roads law and energy infrastructure (particularly onshore wind and grid connections), along with a detailed knowledge of the environmental impact assessment regime. For 10 years he worked as a local government planner.
Toby Askin, national head of real estate at DWF, commented: “We look forward to welcoming Moray into the team, as his practice demonstrates impressive quality and breadth across several of DWF’s key practice areas that will allow us to further strengthen our planning capability as we continue to invest in the team in Scotland. His knowledge of the energy field in particular will be an asset to our team and clients as we strengthen and expand our capability in this evolving sector.”
