Robson joins Children's Hearings Scotland board
Henry Robson, former deputy chief executive of the Law Society of Scotland, is one of three new members of the board of Children's Hearings Scotland.
Mr Robson, who retired from the Society last year after overseeing the move to its new offices, is also currently the vice chair of ARK Housing Association and interim chair of ARK’s audit committee. His appointment runs from 1 March 2017 until 31 January 2021.
Children’s Hearings Scotland works in partnership with the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration, local authorities and other agencies to support the children’s panel, using its influence to drive improvements across the children’s hearings system.
The other new board members are Lewis Ritchie, a law graduate and Edinburgh councillor who also works with the policy and research team of Children in Scotland and the secretariat to the Scottish Parliament's cross party group on children and young people, and Beth-Anne Logan, currently a full time student studying social care and a community volunteer. Both will serve from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2019.
