Rodney, Wattie given further terms at Burness Paull

25th May 2015 | careers

Commercial law firm Burness Paull has re-appointed chairman Philip Rodney and managing partner Ian Wattie for a further three years until 31 July 2018.

The duo have led Burness Paull since the firm was created out of the merger between Edinburgh and Glasgow practice Burness and Aberdeen's Paull & Williamsons in 2012. Currently one of the leading Scottish based legal practices, its most recent annual results, for the year to 31 July 2014, showed turnover for the year to up by 20% to £46.3m, and profit up by 25% from £16.5m to £20.7m.

Mr Rodney commented: “It is a great honour for Ian and me to be trusted with this responsibility for another term. We both approach the task with energy and excitement."

He added: "While I wouldn't want to underplay these roles, the reality is that our progress is down to the talent and commitment of every single person in the firm. Ian and I look forward to continuing to work with them in achieving the next stage in the firm’s ambitions.”
