Royal Faculty prepares to celebrate 350 years
As it prepares to mark its 350th anniversary in 2018, the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow is appealing to members for material to support a special commemorative publication.
The exact date of the formation of the Faculty is not known, but its earliest records date from 1668 and it has therefore chosen 2018 to mark its 350th year.
The Royal Faculty has just celebrated the bicentenary of its library, and because of this, and in light of the potential move to a new building, it is planned to produce a publication to celebrate the best of the library and the building at 12 Nelson Mandela Place. Members who have any anecdotes, memories of the library or messages which could be included are encouraged to contribute to the publication.
Material can be sent to library@rfpg.org.
