Sandra McDonald to leave Public Guardian post
Sandra McDonald, the Public Guardian in Scotland, is leaving her post as of 27 July.
Ms McDonald has let it be known that her decision has been taken for personal as well as professional reasons, but she remains committed to adult incapacity work and hopes to work as an independent adviser and trainer in the field after she leave office.
It is understood that her successor's role may be redefined as more of an operational lead for the Office of the Public Guardian, concentrating on the change programme to be implemented over the next few years.
