Scottish Civil Justice Council seeks consumer representatives
The Scottish Civil Justice Council (SCJC) is seeking two consumer representative members.
Established in May 2013, the SCJC prepares rules for the Scottish civil courts and also has a remit to provide advice and make recommendations to the Lord President and the Scottish ministers on the development of the Scottish civil justice system.
Members hold office for a period of three years and members have to give approximately 12 days’ commitment a year. Candidates should have meet one or more of the criteria of legal knowledge and skills; understanding of people and society; knowledge and understanding of the wider justice system and issues affecting it; and personal qualities.
