Scottish executive partner appointments at DWF
National law firm DWF has appointed partners Paul Pignatelli and Wayne Lawrence as executive partners for the firm’s Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
The firm said that the pair, who each have more than 15 years’ experience as corporate partners, will be responsible for "driving forward DWF’s strategic business objectives in each office through effective employee engagement and client service delivery, whilst championing DWF’s charitable and pro bono work in the firm’s local communities".
DWF, which expanded into Scotland by acquiring Biggart Baillie, now employs 158 people and has 30 partners north of the border. Among other transactions, it recently advised Transport Scotland on the successful mobilisation of the Caledonian Sleeper and ScotRail franchises, Capita plc on over £150m of acquisitions since January 2015, and the sellers and management team on the £20m management buyout of PDG Helicopters.
DWF’s managing partner and CEO Andrew Leaitherland commented: “We have ambitious plans for DWF in Scotland, and Paul and Wayne have the leadership experience and collaborative approach to help deliver our strategic business goals. The executive partner role is pivotal in shaping a strategy for each office to ensure we continue to effectively support our clients and people. It is with the full support of their colleagues that we wish Paul and Wayne all the best in their new roles.”
