Senior banking lawyer joins Shoosmiths in Edinburgh

22nd February 2018 | careers

National law firm Shoosmiths has appointed Liana Di Ciacca as a senior associate in its corporate team, with a focus on banking and finance.

Joining the team led in Scotland by partner Alison Gilson, Ms Di Ciacca previously worked for seven years with CMS Cameron McKenna (formerly Dundas & Wilson) in Edinburgh. A specialist in corporate lending and leverage finance, her experience includes acquisition finance, investment and development finance.

Her appointment is the second in a month by the corporate team, after Emily McQueen joined in January.

Alison Gilson commented: "In Liana we are recruiting a high calibre banking lawyer who comes to our dynamic team with a very impressive track record. She will help us to further grow our banking business in Scotland and support corporate activity across Shoosmiths’ UK-wide offices. Reflecting Shoosmiths’ commitment to identify engaging and talented lawyers, I am very confident Liana will be a tremendous asset for our clients."
