Shepherd & Wedderburn signs up DWF property/planning team
Shepherd & Wedderburn has acquired an 11-strong team of property and planning lawyers, including three partners, from the Glasgow office of rival legal firm DWF.
Partners Joanna Hamilton, Anthony McEwan and Moray Thomson, along with three associates, three solicitors and two paralegals, will join its Property & Infrastructure division, focusing on its clean energy and commercial property practices.
Mr McEwan, who was head of DWF's real estate team in Glasgow, and Mr Thomson, previously head of planning there, both worked for Shepherd & Wedderburn earlier in their careers.
The other team members are:
- associates: Magda Maclean (planning), Steven Stewart (planning) and Alison Bruce (property);
- solicitors: Marc Peebles, Daniel Mackinnon and Elaine Kirk (all property);
- paralegals: Melissa Murray and Sharon Stoddart (both property).
The appointments bring the total number of partners at Shepherd & Wedderburn to 81.
