Sheriff appointed deputy director of Judicial Institute
Sheriff Susan Craig has been appointed by the Lord President as the new deputy director of the Judicial Institute for Scotland.
A sheriff of Lothian & Borders, Sheriff Craig will take up the part-time post from 1 September 2017, replacing Sheriff Andrew Cubie, who will return to Glasgow Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Craig has been a member of the Advisory Council to the Judicial Institute since 2014 and is the sheriff non-executive external member on the Scottish Courts Tribunals Service People Committee.
From 2013 to 2017 she was the Lothian & Borders elected representative on the Council of the Sheriffs’ Association.
