Sheriff appointment for North Strathclyde
Solicitor Craig Douglas Turnbull has been appointed as a floating sheriff of North Strathclyde, the Scottish Government announced today.
A graduate of the University of Strathclyde, Mr Turnbull qualified as a solicitor in 1988, joining MacRoberts in 1993 and becoming a partner there in 1997. He specialised in commercial and construction disputes, and health and safety and environmental prosecutions. He was appointed as a part-time sheriff in 2011.
Mr Turnbull was appointed by the Queen on the recommendation of the First Minister, who nominated him on the basis of a report by the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.
