Society chooses LEAP as software partner
Legal software company LEAP is to join the Law Society of Scotland’s exclusive partnership programme, providing technical knowhow and the processes needed for Scottish law firms to succeed in business.
The firm joins the list of businesses with which the Society has reached an agreement to provide services to its 11,000 practising members, and will help the Society in addressing current technological challenges and opportunities for the legal sector.
Paul Mosson, executive director of member services and engagement at the Law Society of Scotland, commented: "I am delighted to introduce LEAP as our first ever legal technology strategic partner.
"This new partnership is testament that we are committed to providing our members with the necessary digital skills and systems to thrive in a competitive marketplace. Technology has transformed the way business is conducted across all sectors and that includes the legal world. From the digitisation of the courts to cloud based practice management solutions, significant strides have been made.
"Working with LEAP will help us provide expertise and practical guidance, particularly for smaller firms ensuring they remain competitive in the market as well as compliant."
Peter Baverstock of LEAP UK added: "It is fantastic to be recognised as the Law Society of Scotland’s legal technology strategic partner. We have worked incredibly hard and invested significantly into researching and developing our software, allowing us to provide the same highly innovative practice management solution to small and mid-sized law firms in Scotland as we have done elsewhere around the world for the past 20 years.
"A number of Scottish law firms are already using and enjoying the benefits of our software, which is now tailored to include Scottish legal forms, precedents and Scottish law compliant accounting. We have always had a team based in Edinburgh but since we launched our product in Scotland 18 months ago, the team has grown from strength to strength, helping law firms to digitise their practice and reap the benefits of cloud software. We are delighted to be working with the Law Society of Scotland and look forward to supporting their members for many years to come."
