Society opens new committee recruitment round
Solicitor and non-solicitor positions, including four convener posts, are currently waiting to be filled on 16 of the Law Society of Scotland's committees.
In a new recruitment round, the Society is seeking conveners for the Appeals & Reviews Subcommittee, the Complaints Subcommittee, the Immigration & Asylum Law Subcommittee and the Property Law Committee. The frst of these is also seeking ordinary committee members, along with the Admissions Subcommittee, Civil Justice Committee, Civil Legal Aid Quality Assurance Subcommittee, Education & Training (Standard Setting) Subcommittee, Employment Law Subcommittee, Equalilties Law Subcommittee, In-house Lawyers' Committee, Legal Aid Committee (civil team), Practising Certificate Subcommittee, Professional Conduct Subcommittee, Regulatory Committee and Rights of Audience Subcommittee.
In addition the Society is recruiting members for two accreditation panels: the Family Mediation accreditation panel, and the Regulation of Professional Conduct panel, for this newly established accredited specialism.
