Society staff give CSR help to early years charity
Five members of staff at the Law Society of Scotland staff have given a day to help build a bottle greenhouse for local children, as part of the Society's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
With the help of Bedrock, a charity dedicated to helping early years services across Scotland, Hugh Sanders, Louise Docherty, Sarah Sutton, Sheila Kirkwood and Ken Tudhope spent the day sawing, drilling, digging, and hammering to put together the greenhouse at the Gilmerton Child and Family Centre in Edinburgh, using recycled materials including plastic bottles donated by Highland Spring.
Society staff are entitled to donate one working day each year to a CSR initiative. So far this year, staff have contributed over 300 hours to charity work.
