Solicitor becomes courts innovation chief
A solicitor in the public service has taken up a new leading role within the Scottish courts.
Kay McCorquodale, formerly deputy solicitor to the Edinburgh Tram Inquiry, has been appointed chief development and innovation officer with Scottish Courts & Tribunals Service, with effect from 8 May 2017.
She will be based at both Saughton House and Parliament House, Edinburgh.
Among previous positions she assisted Sheriff Principal James Taylor in his review of expenses and funding of civil litigation, recommendations from which are to be inmplemented in a bill now before the Scottish Parliament.
