"Stability" claimed for latest Balfour+Manson figures
Litigation law firm Balfour+Manson achieved turnover up 2% to £9m with profits unchanged at £2.9m in its year to October 2017, the Herald reports today.
Since the 2008-09 recession the firm's turnover has increased by about 20%, from £7.5m, while profits have remained largely unchanged around the £3m mark.
Firm chairman Elaine Motion claimed the results were a sign that the firm's strategy was working. "We have remained extremely stable", she stated. "It's a sign of the way we manage the firm."
Concentrating on litigation had insulated the firm against the worst of the market downturn, and "That's why we've ridden the storm so well."
