STEP awards Raeburn Christie Employer Partner status

1st August 2017 | education-training , practice management

Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCC&W), a leading Aberdeen and North-east legal firm, has received Employer Partner Status from STEP.

The Private Client department received the stamp of approval, meaning that STEP recognises the firm’s commitment to providing full training and fostering a positive learning environment for staff. Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace is one of only seven firms in Scotland to have received the accreditation.

STEP is the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. STEP works to improve public understanding of the issues families face in this area and promotes education and high professional standards among its members. With more than 20,000 members across 95 countries, STEP aims to promote best practice, professional integrity and education across the sector.

Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace has a long association with STEP and was involved with the organisation at an early stage. There are currently three full and three student STEP members within the Private Client team.

Managing Partner Keith Allan said “We are proud of our ongoing association with an organisation that promotes the highest professional standards and supports the development and training of its members. We feel STEP’s ethos very much reflects our own standards of integrity and professionalism and the quality of service we provide to clients.”

The application process for the certification was led by the firm’s Associate Amy Watson. A member of STEP since 2013, Amy is on the STEP Scotland Committee and Education Sub-Committee and also organises the Aberdeen Discussion Group which gives solicitors and other Private Client professionals the opportunity to discuss practical developments in this area of law.

Keith Allan continued: “We are delighted that our Private Client department has received this accreditation from STEP. This is a reflection of the firm’s commitment to investing in employee training and to ensuring our clients continue to benefit from first rate legal advice.”

Jenni Hutchinson, Head of Employer Partnerships for STEP said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace to the STEP Employer Partnership Programme and commend the organisation on its dedication to providing the best possible support and development opportunities for its STEP community. Many congratulations on this well-deserved accreditation’.
