Strathclyde's Paterson wins Inner Temple Book Prize
Professor Alan Paterson of Strathclyde University has been announced as the winner of the triennial Book Prize awarded by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, one of the four barristers' Inns of Court.
His work Final Judgment: The Last Law Lords and the Supreme Court, published by Hart, won the top award of £12,000 in the competition, which recognises and encourages the writing of books which make an outstanding contribution to the understanding of law as administered in England & Wales.
The prize was presented by HRH The Princess Royal, Patron of the Inner Temple Book Prize 2015.
Four works by English academics were named as runners-up, along with a separate winner and runner-up in the New Author category. The awards are also supported by legal bookshop Wildy & Sons Ltd.
