SYLA closes the year in style

4th December 2014

Two final events in a momentous year for the Scottish Young Lawyers' Association will be held next week.

On Tuesday 9 December, the "So you want to be…" series concludes for the year with life as a property lawyer.

Sara Jalicy, head of residential conveyancing at Anderson Strathern, Ian Anderson, commercial property director of Macdonald Henderson and Andrew Todd, in house solicitor at Springfield Properties will present on their careers in property law. The event will be chaired by Chris Rae, senior associate at CMS Cameron McKenna, and will be held in the firm's Glasgow office at 191 West George Street.

On Thursday 11 December, all are welcome to join SYLA for its annual Christmas social event. Returning to Glasgow this year, food and drink will be served while members soak up some carol singing. The event will take place from 6pm on Thursday 11 December 2014 in the Guinness Bar of Waxy O’Connor’s, 44 West George Street, Glasgow.

For further details of both events and how to book, see www.journalonline.co.uk/events

The events conclude a year in which SYLA hosted the European Young Bar Association Spring Conference, celebrated its 40th birthday and held numerous events around the independence referendum.
