Ten rewarded with promotion at Thorntons

25th July 2018 | careers

Tayside headquartered law firm Thorntons has announced a round of 10 solicitor promotions.

Two senior solicitors have been promoted to associate, and eight solicitors have been made senior solicitors across the Edinburgh, Dundee, Fife, Perth and Angus offices.

The two new associates are Lynne MacIntyre, who works in residential conveyancing in Forfar, and Stuart Mackie from the private client team in Montrose.

Three new senior solicitors in Dundee are Steven Drake (residential conveyancing), and Joanne Clancy and Lynsay McFarlane (both personal injury).

Another three are in the Edinburgh office: Thomas Redpath (personal injury), Neil Falconer (intellectual property) and Megan Sweeney (private client).

The final two senior solicitor promotions are for Chris Gardiner, private client in St Andrews, and Anneli Spence from land and rural business in Perth.

Congratulating all of them, Colin Graham, chairman at Thorntons, commented: "Training and development is a core part of our growth strategy and it’s a real pleasure to announce 10 promotions this month.

"Developing our own talent and encouraging internal career progression provides motivation for our colleagues to work hard for our clients and the firm as a whole."
